About cheaters. Look for Latin words for the three kinds of players: those who play by the rules, those who cheat in order to win, and those who destroy the game.
As always, there is a whole spectrum of possibilities here. But it is a three-way spectrum. Even a second-type cheater may cheat just for the fun of it, and he may not be trying actively to win. On the other hand, the player who turns the tables when he’s losing is betraying the game, even if he did not cheat before.
A gossip can be tolerated as a friend. But one who intrigues — such as Iago — is betraying the game of friendship. Actually, Iago is using the game of friendship in order to play another game.
